objectives

The advanced course aims to integrate, from an unprecedented mix of competences, the methods and tools of design with archival competences. The course is aimed at both the expert audience of the archive operators and the extended audience of the public that uses the archive services. In particular, the course considers the themes of inclusivity and extended accessibility as key elements of the project.

 

Functional profiles and job outlets in the relevant professional sector

The training offer is oriented towards the creation of a figure who is able to enhance the materials and develop the cultural strategies of the archive. This is a designer with a high degree of design competence but able to move easily and sensitively within archives, without overlapping in any way with archival workers. Among the expected outcomes of the training course, the ability to

- identify cultural strategies

- set up partnerships

- act on the cultural selection of the archive

- act on heritage valorisation

- act on the optimisation of digital resources

- acting on the planning of exhibition, publishing and educational events.

The professional profiles trained will be able to interact and act both on public and private archives and on business and family archives, proposing strategies to enhance the value of the heritage, starting from the needs of the clients.
