To be admitted to
the bachelor’s degree in fashion design and multimedia arts applicants
must hold one of the following qualifications:
a) a five-year or
four-year secondary (high) school diploma
b) a secondary (high) school diploma awarded by a
foreign upper secondary education institution or school. Through Italian
diplomatic missions abroad, if needed, they shall arrange and provide the
translation, legalisation, and declaration of value of their certificate (more information on the procedures to be
followed are described in the section dedicated to international qualifications)
c) a degree
awarded by the Italian Republic, an international bachelor's degree, or a diploma
awarded by European schools.
To apply for the bachelor’s degree in fashion design and
multimedia arts, candidates shall follow these instructions:
a) register on Iuav Online
Desk to receive a username
and a password
b) log in and follow the online application
procedure (“Student services” > “Applications”) and upload all required documents
c) pay the registration fee of 55 euros
d) non-EU applicants residing abroad are also
required to pre-enrol on the Universitaly
portal

Students can apply to a maximum of 2 different tracks: each application is separate in terms of documents and fee payment.
Applications to other bachelor’s degrees under the L-4 ministerial degree code are not admitted (Product, visual communication and interior design, and design – Vicenza campus).
The admission test consists of:
1. a multiple-choice
test:1-hour test to answer 40 questions with only one correct option, on
the following areas: 1-rational and abstract thinking; 2-perception and
elaboration of figurative content; 3-fashion and art history; 4-comprehension
of argumentative texts; 5-general culture.
2. a graphic
test (1 hour)
a) for the communication and new media for
fashion: interpretation of a theme or an image through text
b) for the fashion design track: interpretation
of a theme, an image, or a piece of clothing by drawing and possible textual
integrations
c) for the multimedia arts track: conceptualisation
by drawing and/or text;
3. an interview
aimed at verifying presentation skills, effective communication, and the ability
to articulate one’s interests and motivations for undertaking this study
programme.
Multiple-choice test: 5 April 2024, 10am
Graphic test: 3 May 2024, 10am
Interview: 3 May 2024, after the graphic test
The interview schedule will be published by 19 April 2024 (for international applicants too) on the dedicated webpage [ITA].
All parts of the admission test will be held at
the venue of Santa Marta ex Cotonificio Olcese, Dorsoduro 2196 - 30123 Venezia.
Applicants are required to
arrive at least one hour before the beginning of the test and bring a valid ID/passport.
Non-EU applicants residing abroad will have to take an Italian
language test (online) on 21 March 2024.
The multiple-choice test will be assessed as follows:
1 point is awarded for each correct answer; -
0.25 points for each wrong answer; and 0 for each unanswered question.
The graphic test will be
assessed according to the following criteria: ability to
conceptualise, to represent graphically, and to interpret personally.
The final score is the sum of the following:
– multiple-choice test, up to a max of 30
points;
– graphic test, up to a max of 30 points;
– interview, up to a max of 40 points.
Admission rankings will be available on 15 May
2024. Applicants can view their position on the personal area of the Online Desk.
Admitted applicants are required to pre-enrol from
15 to 21 May 2024, 12pm on the Online Desk (“Student services” >
“Enrolment”), and pay the first instalment of
the enrolment fee through the PagoPA system.
Applicants will receive an enrolment
form to be signed and dated that will be necessary to complete the enrolment
procedure.
In case vacant places are available, a note on vacant positions will be published on this page
[ITA] by 23 May 2024. Applicants who were
listed as “not admitted” in the first ranking can apply for vacant places
from 23 to 27 May 2024. Admission rankings for
vacant places will be published on 30 May 2024,
and applicants are required to pre-enroll and pay the first instalment of the
enrolment fee by 6 June 2024, 12pm.
Applicants with an international qualification will
be contacted individually about the required documents for their enrolment. In
any case, their enrolment will be completed by 27 September
2024.
