The Università Iuav di Venezia is participating as a partner in the project named “1FUTURE – jOiNEd for sUsTainability: Building Climate Resilient Communities in WB and EU,” in collaboration with other international universities:

The project aims to promote a comprehensive approach to climate action and sustainability, actively contributing to ecological transition and enhancing skills and awareness related to climate issues and sustainability within the higher education system.

Financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program, the 1FUTURE project aims to create communities that demonstrate significant resilience to the effects of climate change, both in the Western Balkans and the European Union. Additionally, it aspires to establish a collaborative interdisciplinary network between universities in the Western Balkans and the EU, promoting the adoption of a culture centred on sustainability and climate action.

The 1FUTURE project focuses on several key objectives, including strengthening interdisciplinary capabilities and knowledge within the higher education system to contribute to a sustainable global economic recovery. It supports the policies of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on climate. The project also aims to foster interaction between universities in the Western Balkans and the EU to promote a culture of sustainability and climate action, thereby enhancing the capacity of both regions to successfully address challenges related to climate change and sustainability.
