Admission procedures

If you have earned ECTS through previous enrollments, you can request an evaluation of your previous career to determine whether your career might be shortened in the new program of study.

You can apply if:

you have a first- or second-level degree;
you are already enrolled in a first- or second-level program;
you have taken individual first- or second-level university courses.

If you have taken single courses at Iuav, you must explicitly request recognition by submitting an evaluation request using the dedicated platform (see link at the bottom of this page).

For future students (not already enrolled at Iuav University of Venice), the request for a credit transfer of their previous studies may be made in the following cases:

General rules

Only activities at the same level as the degree program or higher than the one for which you are applying will be evaluated.
The evaluation is conducted only for the degree program or master's degree program for which you are applying;.
Only activities designed by the university and/or guaranteed to be of university standard will be evaluated.
Enrollment in a specific year of the program depends on the number of credits recognized in the new program.
Only educational activities from previous university careers that have not been subject to withdrawal from studies or forfeiture will be evaluated.
The request must be accompanied by payment, including the stamp duty of 76.00 euros paid virtually, using exclusively the PagoPA payment portal.

Operating instructions

Those interested in requesting a career evaluation are required to:

apply for admission to the bachelor's and master's degree programmes offered for the 2026/2027 academic year, following the procedures and deadlines established by the announcements;
submit a career evaluation application following the procedures indicated in the section below;
take the admission test, if applicable;
confirm acceptance of the evaluation by replying to the email notification of the outcome within 5 days of receiving it;
pre-enroll in the program of interest and complete the payment of the first installment within the deadlines indicated in the announcement (only in the event of an internal transfer, change of program system, or change of curriculum, the pre-enrollment for the new program does not need to be completed; students must simply notify the Access management office via email);
start the transfer/internal transfer/change of programme/change of tracks or curriculum request by sending the appropriate documents.

The request will be processed based on the call for applications of evaluation published in May 2026, "Determination of the number of places available in the second and third years of the bachelor's and master's degree programs offered at Iuav University of Venice and the access procedures for incoming transfer, internal transfer, change of program, change of curriculum/specialization, and career path abbreviation - academic year 2026/2027," which defines the places available in years after the first.

How to apply

You can apply through the platform by clicking on the " Richiedi una valutazione della tua carriera pregressa " box at the bottom of this page:

Log in with your SPIN credentials;
Select "VALUTAZIONI";
Choose the "CONCORSI" option and select the course for which you have applied;
Continue submitting your application;
You must indicate the reason for your request (Transfer - Trasferimento / Change of Location from a foreign university – Cambio sede / Internal Transfer – Passaggio Interno / Change of Program – Passaggio di ordinamento / Change of curriculum/track – Cambio curriculum / Career Shortening – Abbreviazione di carriera);
Select "carriera Iuav" if the career you wish to have evaluated is at the Iuav University of Venice;
Select "carriera non Iuav" if the career you wish to have evaluated is not at the Iuav University of Venice;
Continue completing the application; it is mandatory to attach the course syllabi for all non-Iuav careers.

If the application is formally correct, you will receive a confirmation email with a request to make payment through the PagoPA portal.

To pay, log in to the portal and follow these simple steps:

Select "voluntary payment – pagamento spontaneo"
Fill in your details
Select "Previous career evaluation - Valutazione carriera pregressa " as the payment reason.
Enter the reason for payment "Previous career evaluation_NAME SURNAME" (personalizing your first and last name)
Enter 76.00 euros as the total amount
Print the payment notice and pay with PagoPa
Download the payment receipt and send it to info.immatricolazioni@iuav.it by email with the subject "Previous career evaluation_NAME SURNAME-payment receipt".

You will receive the results by email according to the deadlines set out in the call for applications. You must notify us of your acceptance by email.

Please note
Your application will be submitted to the committee only if the application status is formally correct.
If the application status is rejected or incomplete, it will not be submitted to the committee; you will be informed of the reason and how to reapply.
