HERSUS project final
event at the University of Belgrade
The Erasmus+ Project HERSUS -
Enhancing of Heritage Awareness and Sustainability of Built Environment in
Architectural and Urban Design Higher Education concluded with the final ceremony in the
Congress Hall of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade on 10 July 2023.
The ceremony was attended by Vladan Djokic (Rector,
HERSUS Project Leader, University of Belgrade), Vladimir Lojanica (Dean,
University of Belgrade - Faculty of Architecture), Plamena Halacheva (Deputy
Head of Delegation of the European Union to Serbia), Marija Filipovic
Ozegovic (Director, TEMPUS National Erasmus+ Agency in Serbia), Aleksandra
Milovanovic (HERSUS Manager for Dissemination and Communication,
University of Belgrade), the HERSUS project representatives from every project
partner university and the cultural delegates from the respective
countries' embassies participating in the project.
The project has developed since November 2019, six intellectual outputs
(IO1, IO2, IO3, IO4, IO5, IO6), three international workshops (SW1, SW2, SW3) and enabled the consolidation of an international
network of lecturers, researchers, students and professionals. The project has
also been internationally recognised with the awarding of two prizes for the
activities of the Intellectual Output 4 - Hersus Sharing
Platform -
coordinated by the Iuav team - and for the innovative aspects it promotes (Salon of
Architecture in Serbia, 31st
International Urban planners Exhibition in Serbia).
The meeting between the members of the Hersus team was an opportunity to
highlight the strength of inclusion, creativity and innovation of the agenda
that the Hersus project aims to develop, integrating the themes of Cultural
Heritage of sustainability in quality education and the definition of the role
of the architect for the definition of cities in contemporary society.
