Workshop with Judith Clark
Lecture by Judith Clark on recent experimental studio work that takes the form of small "essay exhibitions" and "research souvenirs". Organised in the context of the course Heritage e progetto della moda led by Antonio Masciariello with Alessandra Varisco
The workshop will look at Clark’s working method that divides her research into three elements: reference (the research); context (creating a new frame within an existing architectural space (at 1:12) and looks at the anachronism and tension between the two);
detail, (the space immediately surrounding the individual object and its decorative idiom).
The workshop will take the form of the design of an ‘essay exhibition’ that uses the dimensions of Clark’s three studio structures as their framework.
Judith Clark is a curator and exhibition-maker. She is Professor of Fashion and Museology at the University of the Arts London and a founding Director of Centre for Fashion Curation. Clark runs an experimental exhibition design studio in London.
