Maurizio Zampollo, textile technician expert

Seminar organised and introduced by Lucia Rosin, in the context of Fashion Material Design Studio.

With a strong background in technical textile studies, Maurizio Zampollo has over 30 years of experience in the textile industry. 
His career began at a wool company in the Verona area, where he gained hands-on expertise across the entire production cycle, including warping, weaving, finishing, and quality control.
After nearly a decade, he co-founded Denim Area with a business partner, specializing in high-end fabrics produced on vintage 1950s looms. The company quickly gained recognition for its quality and creativity and was sold to Berto Industria Tessile in 2010, where Maurizio served as Research and Development Manager, driving innovation and exploring new textile technologies.
Two years ago, Maurizio transitioned to a freelance career, teaching textile product science at an Art School in Trento and at the NABA, Nuova accademia Belle Arti in Milano. His extensive expertise and commitment to education inspire and mentor the next generation of textile designers.
