Alia Mascia and Alessandra Varisco, PhD students at Università Iuav di Venezia, present their on-going projects and research within the field of critical fashion practices.

Alia Mascia is a designer, artist, and researcher. In her interdisciplinary research, the fields of fashion and publishing are connected through the material and conceptual exploration of the garment as a publishing platform. She is the founder of the brand and publishing platform XEROXED.

Alessandra Varisco is a fashion designer and researcher. In her research she investigates pattern making as an artistic practice to (an)archive sources of garments’ design and production processes within fashion archives through participatory projects.
