Climate change and cities
Urban microclimate and heat adaptation
In the context of the Interreg IPA-Adrion NATURED project, a series of transnational seminars is organized to share information, exchange knowledge, and build capacity on the complex interactions between climate (change) and cities, in particular on how the structure and composition of the urban environment profoundly influences the local microclimate. The first transnational seminar especially focuses on the variables influencing the overheating of cities (i.e., urban heat island phenomenon) and the possible responses to adapt them to increasing heat stress.
Invited speakers:
Domagoj Vidakovi? Energo-data
Emanuele Naboni Professor of Sustainable Design, Royal Danish Academy and Norman Foster Institute
Marco Noro Associate Professor, University of Padua
