My Own Town. Architecture, Territories and Landscapes is an extra-curricular activity, coordinated by Professors Mosco, Iorio and Velo, addressed to students of the Master’s Degree Programme in Architecture. It consists of a short seminar series conceived, organised and developed by the students, under the supervision of faculty members from the programme. The activity aims to turn the diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds of the students into an opportunity for collective learning and exchange. Following an introductory meeting, students, individually or in small groups, will select a topic related to their country or territory of origin. The subject may be a specific architectural project, a city or settlement, a portion of territory, a landscape, or a broader spatial condition considered particularly relevant to understanding its architectural, urban, environmental or cultural context.
The activity will take place on three Tuesdays or Thursdays during the first semester: one in October, one in November and one in December. It will begin with an introductory session, followed by two or three group seminars (upon the numeber of partecipants). To earn 2 ECTS credits (Type D), students must participate actively in the sessions, complete the research activity and deliver a final mini-lecture.
