How: by completing the following steps (see the step-by-step guides at the bottom of this page):

  1. registration
    you will receive a username and password to use for every future access. If you are already registered, do not make a new registration.
    For any problem with login details, please see the page dedicated to user and password [ITA]
  2. application
    from the menu, select “Student services” > “Applications” and follow the online procedure. Make sure you attach all the necessary documents (see below)
  3. payment of the application fee
    after your application, you are required to pay the 30 euros enrolment fee through the PagoPA system.

 Your application will be complete only after your payment is received.

 If you have an international qualification, please check all the preliminary information in the Get ready to apply section before submitting your application.

The following documents are required for your application (please see the checklist and guidelines on preparing documents, at the bottom of the page).

To replace any document you have already uploaded, please send the new one by e-mail to the admission office (info.immatricolazioni@iuav.it).

All applicants:

  • valid ID (front/back)
  • CV in Europass format
  • a personal portfolio of the activities carried out during your academic career (no more than 10 pages in A4 format, in a pdf file not larger than 5 MB)
  • a personal video (3 minutes in length, no more than 50 MB) in which you elaborate on three questions (see the document “Questions for video” at the bottom of this page)
  • English proficiency certificate B2 level, or higher in the Common European Framework, or commitment to obtain the certification by 31 July 2025 (native-speaker candidates or those whose entry qualification refers to a degree course taught entirely in English are exempt)

Applicants residing in Italy:

  • tax code

Applicants with an Italian qualification not obtained at Iuav:

  • self-certification with exams (see form A [ITA] at the bottom of this page)
  • programmes/syllabus of all the course units/exams necessary for obtaining your qualification

Applicants with an international qualification:

  • original language copy of your diploma (if you are a graduate) or enrolment certificate with the expected graduation date (if you are about to graduate)
  • original language copy of your transcript of records and/or diploma supplement in European format
  • programmes/syllabus of all the course units/exams necessary for obtaining your qualification, or diploma supplement in European format
  • translations in Italian or English of the documents listed above (except for documents that are issued in one of these two languages)

Please note: it is highly recommended to submit applications well in advance.
Iuav will not be held responsible for any malfunction due to technical problems or service overloads.

Anyone wishing to update one or more documents already attached must send an email to the access management service (info.immatricolazioni@iuav.it) attaching the replacement documents.

ECTS obtained in previous studies, either at Iuav or other institutions, can be transferred to admitted applicants’ new academic records.

To do so, the following documents should be uploaded while applying:

  • credit transfer application form with exams – C form [ITA] 
  • detailed programmes/syllabi of exams to be evaluated (for all ECTS that were not obtained at Iuav)

 You are also required to send an email to the admission office (info.immatricolazioni@iuav.it), having “Evaluation of previous studies master degree in MA Architecture – applicant’s name and surname” as the subject, and specifying that the requested documents have been uploaded.

The evaluation cannot be guaranteed to applicants who do not send such email.

Who can request an evaluation for credit transfer
The request can be forwarded by applicants who have obtained ECTS from previous exams/course and wish them to be transferred to the master degree in Renewable Energy Engineering in Coastal Environment without having to take the corresponding exams.

Therefore, the request can be made by:

  • applicants with a master’s degree
  • applicants who have taken exams of master’s degree level in previous studies
  • applicants who attended single courses at the master’s degree level

Please note that credit transfer is only possible for credits that have not contributed to obtaining the qualification giving access to the master degree in MA Architecture.

Requests sent after the application deadline
If you did not send your request along with your application, you can send it to Iuav general register offic within 5 working days from the completion of your enrolment, along with the documents listed above.

A dedicated committee evaluates the requests according to this schedule:

  • by 2 April 2025 for requests sent along with the application
  • by 5 October 2025 for requests sent after the completion of the enrolment
