Venice is more than a unique place to study mobility. It is a living laboratory. Few places in the world offer such an extraordinary concentration of mobility systems within a single urban environment. Water, land, and air transport coexist, interact, and converge in a complex and highly integrated system. In Venice, mobility is not simply a subject to be studied: it is a reality to be experienced, observed, and understood in all its dimensions.

Building on this exceptional context, the Master's degree offers a distinctive and competitive educational experience in the Italian and international landscape. Students develop a broad and integrated understanding of transport and mobility, combining advanced technical knowledge with interdisciplinary perspectives. The programme is enriched by internships with leading companies and organisations, international study opportunities, and integrated design workshops - an educational approach that represents one of the distinctive strengths of the Iuav University of Venice.

The programme looks at mobility as a system, not as a collection of separate sectors. Transport safety, logistics, infrastructure, mobility planning, operations, technology, and design are addressed as interconnected components of a broader and increasingly complex ecosystem. This systemic perspective distinguishes the programme from more specialised degrees that approach transport from a predominantly sectoral standpoint, focusing on individual domains such as safety, logistics, or vehicle design. But the world of mobility is changing - and changing fast.

This Master's degree responds to one of the most profound transformations shaping the future of transport: the digitalisation and automation of mobility systems. Artificial intelligence, connected infrastructures, autonomous technologies, data-driven decision-making, and emerging mobility services are redefining how transport systems are planned, designed, operated, and managed.

These transformations demand a new generation of professionals. Professionals who can move beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries, understand complex systems, work with advanced technologies, and anticipate the consequences of decisions in an increasingly uncertain and interconnected world.

This Master's degree is designed to educate these professionals.

The programme prepares the infrastructure and mobility manager of the future: a highly skilled professional capable of understanding, designing, implementing, managing, maintaining, and preserving complex transport systems and major infrastructure throughout their entire lifecycle.

A professional who does not simply manage today's mobility systems, but is equipped to shape the mobility systems of tomorrowAnd there is perhaps no better place to begin this journey than Venice.
