University Learning Credits (CFUs) measure the work required of those studying, in terms of hours of lecture and individual study, to take exams or to carry out training activities stipulated in the curriculum (lectures, tutorials, laboratory, internship...).
One college credit translates into25 hours of academic commitment.
Each subject and each exam is worth a specific number of credits (usually they are 6, 9, 12) that you get after passing the exam.
The CFUs are divided by types:
- A basic;
- B characterizing;
- C related and supplementary;
- D elective educational activities;
- E Final
- F Additional language skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, internships.
The recognition of university credits in types D and F for participation in extra-university activities such as workshops, competitions, exhibitions or activities of an artistic exhibition type, must be authorized in advance by the coordinator of the course of study.
For all the information and to know in which type of credits the courses you take fall, consult the Manifesto degli studi of your degree program.
