The household consists of the students submitting the application and the members of their registered household.

The following are considered part of the household:

• members of the registered household on the date the DSU - Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica is submitted;
• spouses with different registered residences, except for case of legal separation, loss of parental responsibility,cessation of the civil effects of marriage or abandonment by one of the spouses;
• parents of the student submitting the application if they do not live together;
• minors in pre-adoptive foster care;
• adult children who do not live with their parents but are financially dependent on them, provided they are unmarried and have no children.

Please note that the University may carry out checks and verifications on ISEE declarations, may revoke benefits already granted, if the student is not entitled to them, may also apply penalties applicable according to the Iuav regulations on tuition fees and students’ academic careers, as well as according to the agreement between the Veneto region and Università Iuav di Venezia. 

You can be considered an independent student and use your ISEE for financial aid as the sole member of your household only if you meet both of the following requirements:

• residence, certified by the registry office, outside the home of your family of origin, for at least two years before the date of DSU submission, in a property not owned by a member of your family of origin;
• your own income from employment (or equivalent income) of no less than €9,000.00 per year declared for tax purposes for at least one year (as established by Ministerial Decree no. 1320 of 17 December 2021).

If you intend to use your ISEE as the sole member of your household, you must send to diritto.studio@iuav.it the documentation proving that you have resided outside your family household for at least two years before the date of DSU submission (e.g. rental / property purchase contracts in the previous two years) and your tax return or CU - Certificazione Unica 2025 (for the 2024 income) and 2026 (for the 2024 income).

If both conditions are not met, you will be required to provide an ISEE together with the information relating to your family of origin, thus, the documentation concerning your income and assets abroad owned by your family of origin.
