The 12th AESOP Sustainable Food Planning international conference officially opened today, Thursday 22 October. It is organised by Iuav Food Lab and dedicated to the theme “Strengthening the values of food in times and spaces of fragility”.

On Friday 23 October, the conference, which has brought together 200 spatial planning scholars from around the world, will conclude with the final scientific sessions, the keynote lecture by Kevin Morgan and a closing round table.

Saturday 24 October is instead devoted to study tours exploring the Venetian territory: “In the footsteps of Mark and Francis”, among religious sites, gardens and lagoon landscapes, and “The mainland city”, a route through the markets of Mestre and Marghera.
