For the 2025/2026 academic year, Iuav University of Venice, as part of the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 1, Traineeship mobility, is offering mobility grants within the following projects:
Individual mobility project
“Green_Train” Consortium
There are no differences between the projects; only the promoting body and the source of funding change, which does not affect the grant amount in any way. The application submitted by students is automatically valid for all projects.
The Erasmus+ Traineeship mobility projects are aimed at students who are regularly enrolled in bachelor's (with the exception of the first year), master's, PhD programs, and the School of Specialization in Architectural and Landscape Heritage who intend to complete:
a curricular traineeship: applicants must have the opportunity to register the traineeship with credits in their academic career (except for those enrolled in the PhD school)
Or
a postgraduate traineeship: applicants must be regularly enrolled at the time of application, indicate when they expect to graduate, and must start their mobility within 12 months of graduation and in any case within the deadlines specified in the call.
Those who have already completed a study or traineeship period within the Erasmus+ program, or who are currently doing so, can also participate in Erasmus+ Traineeship mobility. In this case, applicants will be admitted to the selection process only if the sum of the months of mobility they have already used (at Iuav or another university) or are currently using, both with a grant and zero-grant status, and the one they are applying for does not exceed a total of 12 months.
The month count is only necessary if the two mobilities are carried out within the same study cycle (1st cycle = bachelor's / 2nd cycle = master's / 3rd cycle = PhD/specialization school). Those who have at least two full months (60 days) available can also apply.
Application
Anyone who wishes to apply for an Erasmus+ traineeship mobility grant must submit an application via the Online Desk (SpIn), where they will log in with their personal username and password to access the "International Mobility > Calls" section.
The application will only be considered complete if the following attachments are included in PDF format (listed at the bottom of the page):
Attachment A: Traineeship project (written in Italian or English)
Attachment B: (Optional during the application phase) Letter of intent certifying the host institution's willingness to offer an internship to the candidate (this document must indicate the period in which the internship will take place, the language that will be used, and, in general terms, the planned activities for the internship)
Copy of any language certifications obtained in the last two years (optional)
Application windows, as listed in the call, are as follows:
Application slots in the Online Desk
from 8 September to 4 December 2025 from 12 January to 3 March 2026 from 9 March to 28 May 2026
Applications will be evaluated by a Commission at Iuav University of Venice. The ranking will be based on the following criteria:
Weighted average: up to 65 points, distributed as follows:
18.00 to 26.00 points: 0
26.01 to 26.40 points: 3
26.41 to 26.80 points: 7
26.81 to 27.20 points: 12
27.21 to 27.60 points: 21
27.61 to 28.00 points: 29
28.00 to 28.40 points: 35
28.41 to 28.80 points: 42
28.81 to 29.20 points: 51
29.21 to 29.60 points: 59
29.61 to 30.00 points: 65
For those enrolled in the first year of a master's program, PhD school, or SSIBAP, the same scale will be used by converting the graduation grade to a scale of 30.
For those in their second and third years of bachelor's degree programs, the weighted average will be based on the candidate's average at the time of application (within the windows provided during the academic year).
Applicants are responsible for checking their academic status before the call for applications closes and for requesting updates from the relevant offices.
Traineeship project: up to 10 points (Attachment A – mandatory)
Language proficiency: up to 10 points for any language certification (optional)
Letter of intent: 15 points for a letter of intent (Attachment B – optional)
Rankings and reassignment of vacant grants
Following the selection procedures for the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 call for applications for the assignment of mobility grants for curricular and post-graduate traineeships for the academic year 2025/2026, the following documents are hereby published.
First application window: 9 September 2026 – 4 December 2025
Grantees must submit the letter of intent (if not already attached to the application), completed and signed by the host institution, to the International Mobility Service via email, by the deadlines set for each registration window.
Anyone who does not possess the letter of intent by the specified deadlines will lose their "grantee" status in the ranking and will acquire "eligible" status. In this case, the grant will only be awarded if funds are available at the time the letter of intent is received.
The required forms for grantees are:
letter of intent
learning agreement for traineeship (LAT) – Before the Mobility
grant agreement (GA)
confirmation of arrival
LAT – During the Mobility (opzionale)
LAT – After the Mobility
attendance register
Before mobility The traineeship program and dates must be agreed upon with the host institution and the International Mobility Service. The International Mobility Service guarantees grantees a traineeship period of 3 months. However, traineeship mobilities can have a minimum duration of 2 months (60 days); in this case, a grant for the corresponding duration will be provided. The traineeship period is carried out full-time at a single institution for the entire duration of the mobility.
This document certifies the trainee's acceptance by the host institution. Before the start of the traineeship, the trainee emails the Letter of Intent, signed by the host institution's tutor and completed in all its parts, to the International Mobility Service (if not already attached during the application phase).
In this document, the traineeship details (activities, dates, and arrangements) are defined by the parties involved: the trainee, Iuav University, and the host institution.
The document must be sent to the host institution approximately 15 days before the actual start of the traineeship. Grantees will receive instructions on how to complete the document via email.
This document defines the conditions and timing for the traineeship mobility grant payment. The GA is signed electronically by the trainee and Iuav a few days before the actual start of the traineeship. Trainees receive instructions for completing the GA after finishing the LAT-Before procedures.
This document certifies the start of the traineeship. On the first day of the internship, grantees are responsible for having the host institution sign the document and for sending it to the International Mobility Service within the first 7 days of mobility.
The E+ grant is paid in a single installment within 30 days of the start of the internship, provided that the required pre-mobility documentation (LOI, LAT-Before the Mobility, GA, Confirmation of Arrival) has been correctly received.
For the grant to be paid, the beneficiary's SpIn profile (personal data section) must include the details of a bank account in their name or a joint account. More information is available on the Iuav Card page.
E+ trainees can benefit from additional contributions to the E+ mobility grant. Additional contributions are not guaranteed but will only be paid if funds are available at the time the Grant Agreement is signed.
Erasmus+ traineeships include insurance coverage for civil liability and accidents in the workplace. The program does not offer health coverage; grantees are solely responsible for arranging their own health coverage during their mobility period abroad. Please note that national health coverage is valid in European Union member countries.
This is an online tool designed to promote the language skills of Erasmus+ mobility recipients. Through free registration on the "EU Academy" platform, you will have access to many useful resources related to all official languages of the European Union (assessment tests, online courses, etc.).
This form is used to indicate any changes to the mobility, compared to the LAT – Before the Mobility (changes in the tutor, changes in the traineeship dates, etc.). A request for a traineeship extension can be made through this document up to one month before the originally scheduled end date of the mobility. A grant extension is authorized only if funds are available. Extension requests received after the aforementioned deadlines will not be considered.
After mobility
This document certifies that the traineeship has been completed correctly (activities, dates, trainee evaluation). The LAT – After the Mobility is signed by the host institution. Trainees are responsible for sending the document to the International Mobility Service within 10 days of the traineeship end date.
This document indicates the activities and daily schedule of the traineeship.
The register is completed for each day of activity at the host institution.
The document is signed by the trainee and the foreign tutor and is sent to the International Mobility Service at the end of the mobility – within 10 days of the traineeship end date.
At the end of the traineeship, you are also required to complete the evaluation questionnaire for the Erasmus+ Traineeship experience. Grantees will receive the questionnaire after the mobility has ended.
