For the academic year 2025/2026, Università Iuav di Venezia launched the "Venice Water Lab Scholarships programme", which offered scholarships worth 5,000.00 euro each (gross of applicable deductions) and tuition fee waivers.
The Venice Water Lab Scholarships were intended for students who were already enrolled or wished to enroll in one of the following English-taught master’s degree programs: Renewable Energy Engineering in Coastal Environment or Sustainable Transportation and Smart Maritime Mobility.
The Venice Water Lab Scholarships and fee waivers were awarded exclusively for the academic year of first enrollment. Renewals could be considered only for students holding international protection (refugee status, subsidiary or special protection, or humanitarian protection)

The ranking list was published by October 1, 2025 and was based on academic merit, as determined by the admission ranking of the degree programs. In case of refusal or withdrawal, the scholarship was awarded to the next eligible candidate in the ranking.
The scholarships were awarded after the students had completed enrollment and the academic year had started. The payment was made in two installments:
Recipients had to open a European bank account, preferably using Iuav Card.
