As of 25 April 2024, the Venice Access Fee will be applied on an
experimental basis to the historic city centre of Venice.
Students (including commuters) of schools, universities and
post-graduate institutes of any level based in the historic city centre of
Venice or other islands of the lagoon are exempt from payment of the Access
Fee. Nonetheless, they are required to get a digital exemption voucher
for the period in which they will be attending the historic city centre for
study purposes.
For 2024 it is necessary to register and download the
exemption voucher only for the dates indicated by the Municipality of
Venice. On the other days access is free and no registration will be
required.
The following groups are also exempt from acquiring a digital voucher
> residents in the Municipality of Venice
> people born in the Municipality of Venice
> minors up to the age of 14.
