To enroll, you must pass an admission test regulated at the national level by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
The test will be conducted online on July 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

The admission test is graded on a maximum score of 50 points according to the following criteria:

• 1 point for each correct answer
• Minus 0.25 points for each incorrect answer
• 0 points for each unanswered question

In the event of a tie, candidates are ranked according to the score obtained, in descending order, in the questions relating to the following subjects: logical reasoning, reading comprehension, drawing and representation, physics and mathematics, knowledge acquired through previous studies, history (including art history), and general culture.

If the tie persists, preference is given to the younger candidate.

Candidates who do not answer any questions are not included in the ranking.

If you are already enrolled in a degree programme belonging to class L-17 or the five years master's degree class LM-4, you may be exempt from the admission test for the five years master's degree in Architecture.

To obtain the exemption, you must submit a request for the evaluation of your previous academic career and be admitted directly to a year beyond the first.

Therefore, to qualify for the exemption, you must demonstrate that you:

• are currently enrolled in an L-17 or five years LM-4 degree programme;
• have been admitted to a year beyond the first at the Università Iuav di Venezia and have therefore obtained recognition of at least 40 ECTS credits (CFU).

Exemption from the test concerns these cases:

• Transfers from another Italian University
• Internal transfers from the Università Iuav di Venezia’s five years master's degree class LM-4 
• Changes of programme/system of a course

If you fall into one of these cases, you must submit the request for a previous career evaluation following the instructions in Career Evaluation.

Furthermore, candidates enrolled in degree programs different from L-17 and LM 4 CU who are already eligible for admission to the 2026/2027 academic year (in the ranking list for admission to the bachelor's or master's degree program in architecture) at another university may be exempted from taking the admission test. They must submit a self-certification of having taken the test, indicating the date, result, and location, along with a copy of the admission ranking list.

Students enrolled at single courses or at degree programs other than L-17 and single-cycle LM-4 who doesn’t have taken another admission test to 2026/2027 at another University are not exempted from the admission test. However, they may request a career evaluation for shortening their studies.

Those who benefit from Law No. 104/92 are granted special exam procedures: during the pre-registration phase, they must submit a request accompanied by a medical certificate. Specifically, candidates with dyslexia (Law No. 170/2010) are granted an additional 30% of the time allowed.
