The Library of Università Iuav di Venezia opens “Riedita. Iuav publishing” from 21 October to 20 November 2026, an exhibition curated by Sara Marini, Saul Marcadent and Gianni Sinni, organised as part of the Centenary celebrations.
Opening on Wednesday 21 October at 5.30 p.m. in the Iuav Library (Tolentini – Santa Croce 191 – Venice).
The exhibition is part of the series “Università Iuav and its books: projecting memory”.
“Riedita. Iuav publishing” traces the history of publications, books and journals produced by Iuav’s institutional publishing, and thus of the different design disciplines with their affinities and contradictions. The material gathered and examined was the subject of an experimental “re-edition” which, through the lens of six themes – Community, Diagrams, Reality, Stories, Techniques, Visions – involved students in a dedicated workshop, the final outcomes of which are on display.
On Wednesday 18 November 2026 at 4 p.m., in the Sala Gradoni (tiered lecture hall) of the Library of Università Iuav di Venezia, the seminar “Riedita. Iuav publishing” will be held, curated and moderated by Sara Marini, Saul Marcadent and Gianni Sinni.
The next exhibition in the series will be titled “Iuav and historic centres”, from 25 November to 23 December 2026, curated by Francesco Trovò, Andrea Benedetti and Filippo Magni.
On the occasion of the Centenary, the Library opens to the public as a tool for reading the century gone by, and the disciplines, ideas and visions that have marked the University’s history. For Università Iuav di Venezia, the Centenary is not only a moment of critical re-reading of its own history, but above all an opportunity to look ahead, strengthen its cultural and educational role and engage with the contemporary challenges of design, the city and society, redefining its vision and its impact on the future.
