The AlmaLaurea 2026 reports on postgraduate specialisation programmes and doctoral programmes provide a positive overview of postgraduate education pathways at Università Iuav di Venezia, highlighting high employment rates one year after completion and a strong international dimension across all programmes.

The data from the AlmaLaurea reports describe postgraduate pathways characterised by a significant integration of research activities, professional experience and international opportunities, with positive employment outcomes both for graduates of postgraduate specialisation programmes and for doctoral graduates at Università Iuav di Venezia.

For doctoral programmes, the report examined 46 doctoral graduates who completed their programme in 2025 and the employment outcomes of 26 people who obtained their doctoral degree in 2024. One year after completing their doctorate, the employment rate reaches 100%, with an average net monthly salary of €2,084. 92.3% of employed doctoral graduates work in intellectual, scientific and highly specialised professions, and three-quarters of respondents consider their qualification effective or very effective for their current role.

The report also underlines the international dimension of doctoral programmes: over half of the doctoral graduates carried out a period of study or research abroad, and a similar proportion participated in research groups. Almost all respondents produced at least one scientific publication during their studies. The main motivation for choosing a Doctoral Programme remains the improve of one's cultural and scientific background.

“The AlmaLaurea data confirm not only our contribution to the dissemination of doctoral research through scientific publications, but also the successful professional outcomes of our doctoral graduates,” comments Maria Chiara Tosi, Director of Iuav Doctoral School. “These results encourage us to keep moving forward with the work the Doctoral School is conducting, with the contribution of a highly qualified academic community.”

With regard to postgraduate specialisation programmes, AlmaLaurea analysed the pathways of 73 graduates who completed their programme in 2025 and the employment outcomes of 116 people who completed their studies in 2024. One year after completion, the employment rate is 87.3%, with an average net monthly salary of €1,958. More than 82% of employed graduates work in intellectual, scientific and highly specialised professions.

The main motivations for choosing a postgraduate specialisation programme include acquiring professional skills and deepening personal cultural interests. During their studies, 94.3% of graduates completed an internship or project work, and 72.9% state that, if given the opportunity, they would choose the same programme at the same university again.

“The AlmaLaurea data confirm the value of Iuav Postgraduate Specialisation Programmes as educational pathways that combine high-quality education, practical experience and concrete professional opportunities,” comments Giuseppe D’Acunto, Director of Teaching and Learning at Università Iuav di Venezia. “The high employment rate and the strong involvement in internships and project work demonstrate the effectiveness of an educational offer designed in close dialogue with the world of work and research. This result encourages us to continue investing in increasingly innovative, interdisciplinary and international programmes.”
