Pioneer Governance Week at Università Iuav di Venezia

From April 14 to 16, Università Iuav di Venezia hosted the Pioneer Governance Week (GW) at Ca’ Tron Palace, welcoming delegations from the 10 partner universities of the Pioneer Alliance, led by their respective Rectors/Presidents.

Three days of strategic dialogue and international collaboration, dedicated to strengthening a shared vision of the alliance and—more broadly—of the European University.

Among the key topics addressed:

– Knowledge Hub: physical and digital spaces where universities, local communities, and stakeholders co-create knowledge to address current and future challenges

– Open Campus: a model of an open and inclusive university that fosters mobility—in its various forms—and promotes innovative, flexible, and interdisciplinary learning pathways

– European Degree Label & joint programmes: frameworks for building integrated and recognized European study programmes

The shared commitment of the Pioneer Alliance is aligned with the Agenda 2030, with a particular focus on sustainable urban development (SDG 11), promoting more inclusive, resilient, and innovative cities.

A concrete step towards a more integrated and future-oriented European knowledge space.
