Five lecturers from Università Iuav di Venezia appear in the 2026 edition of the international ranking World’s Top 2% Scientists, compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier. Each year the ranking analyses a database of over 9 million researchers across all scientific disciplines, from medical sciences to engineering and computer science, to identify the top 2% most cited in the scientific literature worldwide within their respective fields. It is based on standardised bibliometric indicators and on citation data indexed in Scopus.

In the ranking for scientific impact over the entire career, the list includes Anna Saetta (Iuav Pro-Rector) and Paolo Foraboschi for Structural engineering, Silvio Nocera for Transport engineering and Sergio Copiello for Real estate appraisal.

In the annual ranking, which considers scientific impact based on citations received in 2025, the list includes Paolo Foraboschi, Federico Cavallaro, Silvio Nocera and Sergio Copiello.

The result highlights the high quality of Iuav’s scientific research, particularly in the area of engineering and technical disciplines that sit alongside the design disciplines at the University.
