Exams may be written, oral, or a combination of both. To sit for an exam, you must register for the exam session (appello) via the SPIN (online student services portal) between 14 and 4 days before the exam date. SPIN exam registration enables instructors to digitally confirm and sign off exam results. Without registration, students will not be admitted to the exam.
You can search for the desired session using the “Exam board” (bacheca appelli) link in the public area of the SPIN portal. Only the sessions for courses with an open registration period will be visible.
It is absolutely essential that you select an exam associated with the degree programme and academic regulations (ordinamento) to which you belong.
In the “Exam board” (bacheca appelli), each degree programme is listed along with an alphanumeric code indicating the academic regulations it follows.

There are two ways to register for exam sessions:

Courses already in your online study plan
You must log in to the restricted area by clicking Login and entering your credentials (userID and password).
You can then:
select the “Exam sessions” (appelli) link in the Exams section in the left-hand menu, to access the list of courses in your study plan that have an open exam session;
click the “Exam information” icon next to the desired course;
click the “Register for exam” (prenotati all’appello) button and follow the guided process until your registration is confirmed.
The list of courses with open exam sessions is also available directly from your online study plan via the “Available sessions” icon.
Courses not in your online study plan
You must log in to the restricted area by clicking Login and entering your credentials (userID and password).
You can then:
enter the name of the course you wish to register for and start the search;
click the “List of teaching activities” icon next to the desired course;
click the “Add to study plan” icon and then the “Proceed” button to confirm the addition;
click the “Register for exam” button and follow the guided process until your registration is confirmed.
Please remember to complete the course evaluation questionnaire before registering for an exam for a course, workshop, or atelier.
How to cancel an exam registration
You must log in to the restricted area by clicking Login and entering your credentials (userID and password).
You can then:
click the “Cancel” icon next to the desired course.
You can cancel your exam registration only during the period when registration for that session is still open.
