Iuav offers financial support for rent payments to off-site students as defined by current regulations and enrolled in bachelor's degree programs, single-cycle master's degree programs, master's degree programs, specialization schools, and PhD programs at the University. To participate in the selection process, you must be regular with your university tuition payments and meet the following requirements:

The benefit is incompatible with other public housing subsidies and subsidies provided in the form of housing services, not only in the form of financial assistance, such as:

You can apply for the rent assistance if you’ve been granted of the scholarship as a commuter o on site student, or if you’ve never been granted of the 2025/26 scholarship

To apply you have to complete 2 steps by August 5th, 2026 at noon:

  1. send the allegato A (application) via PEC (ufficio.protocollo@pec.iuav.it) or via registered letter (the date of receipt on the university’s official register shall be considered valid) or by handing it yourself to the Servizio archivio di Ateneo e flussi documentali (Ufficio Protocollo), Santa Croce n. 191 - 30135 Venezia, open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and Thursday also from 2:30 pm to 4:30pm;
  2. fill the form attaching to it:
    – Copy of your rental contract and Registration at Agenzia delle Entrate or the hospitality contract at residences managed by the ESU, university colleges, and religious institutions;
    – receipts from rent’s payment made by the student between the 1st of Jenuary 2026 and the 31st of July 2026;
    – application form for participation (allegato A);
    – Copy of your ID.

Some of the main reasons someone might be excluded from receiving this subsidy

The cases of exclusion listed in this document are provided for summary purposes and are intended as example.

For matters not directly addressed in this document, please refer to the Call for applications for subsidies in the payment of off-site students’ rent, academic year 2025/2026 as mentioned above.
  1. Allegato A was sent to the Ufficio Protocollo after August 5, 2026 at 12.00 PM or was not sent at all.
     
  2. Allegato A was not filled out completely and/or was not signed with an handwritten or legalized digital signature.
     
  3. You have not submitted your request by August 5, 2026 at 12.00 PM.
     
  4. You have not filled out the Google form.
     
  5. Your ISEE value is higher than 20.000 euro.
     
  6. There is no ISEE submitted by August 5 at 12.00 PM.
     
  7. You are not enrolled for the 2025/2026 academic year.
     
  8. You have been enrolled more than once for the first year of a degree programme of the same level. 
    For instance:
    – students who have withdrawn;
    – students already graduated in a degree programme of the same level.
     
  9. You do not have the merit requirement as stated in the call for application.
     
  10. You already had public housing assistance and, more generally, subsidies provided in the form of housing services, not just in the form of financial assistance. 
    For instances:
    – regional scholarship as “Off site” student for the 2025/2026 academic year;
    – other housing-related subsidies and reimbursements provided by other public or private entities for the year 2026.
     
  11. The documentation submitted is incomplete. 
    For instances:
    – you have not submitted the documents listed in the call for application;
    – the rental agreement is not signed by both the landlords and tenants
    – you have not uploaded the registration from the Agenzia delle Entrate;
    – there is no extension or renewal of the lease agreement properly registered with the Agenzia delle Entrate;
    – you submitted the renewal/takeover of the attached contract, but not its original registration. Please note that, as stated in the call for application, you must submit: full copy of the rental contract and its registration (or eventual takeover/extension/renewal) or copy of the accommodation contract at residences, university and religious colleges and institutions managed by ESU; If you submit a rental agreement without its registration, you are not eligile for the refund. Mind that any renewal/takeover must be linked to an original record. 
     
  12. The documentation is missing personal information about the applicant. 
    For instances:
    – the payments cannot be traced back to the person requesting the benefit in any way (e.g., the name does not appear either as the payer or in the payment description);
    – the rental agreement and/or its registration do not contain any personal information that can be traced back to the applicant for the benefit.
