“Proactive conservation” is the central concept of a degree programme that engages with contemporary challenges, aiming to develop intervention strategies in response to phenomena - both natural and conflict-related - that make heritage vulnerable.
Being proactive entails an approach that projects into the future, rooted in history, yet capable of interpreting and anticipating the times.
The degree programme builds upon the extensive expertise developed by Università Iuav di Venezia over years of experience in reconstruction within at-risk areas, including the stages of prevention, emergency management, and post-crisis recovery.
