Among the initiatives for the inclusion and wellbeing of students, the Iuav University of Venice has activated the SAP - Sportello di Ascolto Psicologico.
The aim of the SAP is to guarantee, in total confidentiality, adequate psychological and/or psychotherapeutic support to all those who find themselves experiencing discomfort caused by difficulties in the university environment, with possible relapses in the family and relational sphere.

It is also possible to turn to the SAP for support aimed at improving one's study method and to participate in re-orientation paths to facilitate overcoming moments of crisis related to university and/or course choice.

Meetings are totally free.

The SAP does not provide services for the management of emergency and urgent conditions: in these cases, it is advisable to refer to the contacts given at the bottom of the page.

Psychological counseling/psychotherapy
The psychological counseling pathway offers a nonjudgmental listening space where crisis issues related to the university sphere can be addressed, with fallout in the relational and/or family sphere.
This pathway consists of an initial consultation phase (2 or 3 meetings) to understand the question and provide restitution. Consultation interventions may be followed by psychological and/or psychotherapeutic support in the short, medium and long term. Meetings, depending on the planned course, may be weekly or biweekly. In some cases, it is possible to schedule a follow-up meeting at varying distances from the conclusion of the path.

Study Method
The path on study method provides tools and strategies to help you be more aware of your resources and difficulties in dealing with studying and exams. The goal will be to achieve a more effective and personalized study method together. This course consists of 3 or 4 meetings at varying intervals.

Ri-orientation
The re-orientation path helps you overcome moments of crisis related to choosing a university and your course of study. The path involves both coaching in understanding the university system (e.g., reading curricula, viewing university websites...) and emotional support. This course consists of 3 or 4 meetings at varying intervals.

To schedule an interview, send an email to sap@iuav.it, indicating your first name, last name, course of study to which you belong, freshman number and phone number.
We will contact you as soon as possible for an initial phone exchange and to place you on a waiting list. Timelines may vary depending on the number of requests and the period.
