Ca’ Foscari Foundation Year is a year-long programme, designed to prepare international students for undergraduate studies at an Italian university. Students take courses on modern Italian history, English or Italian language, as well as a basic introduction to the main subjects of their future study programme.

Università Iuav di Venezia provides a set of courses on architecture, art and design (track D) for students wishing to apply for a degree course in the fields of architecture, arts, design, fashion or urban planning. This track is taught mainly in English with some lectures in Italian.

In line with the national admissions policy for undergraduate studies in architecture, students have the opportunity to take two admission test simulations in Italian during the course.

Ca’ Foscari School for International Education offers Italian language courses at all levels (CEFR A1 to C2) throughout the academic year with a special intensive programme in the summer and programmes especially designed for exchange students. Courses are open to Iuav international students as well for a discounted price.

The free app ItaliAmo designed by the European Institute of Design with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation offers different learning stages with dialogues, common expressions, linguistic exercises, together with cultural and culinary curiosities. It is available for both Android and iOs devices.
