Presentation of the results of a research project funded by Università Iuav di Venezia and carried out between 2023 and 2025. The outcomes of the study are collected in the volume “Venezia, laguna. Persistenze e metamorfosi di luoghi in divenire” (Venice, Lagoon. Persistences and Metamorphoses of Places in Transformation) (Edizioni Engramma, Venice, 2026).

The research explored several lesser-known sites within the Venetian Lagoon, investigating their rich historical-archaeological, architectural and natural-environmental layers. The study reveals a heritage of considerable interest, opening up possible future strategies for the enhancement and valorisation of these places.
