The exhibition “Ignazio Gardella: Designing the City” explores the architect’s approach and vision in shaping urban space through architectural design. The journey begins in Alessandria in the 1930s and continues to Venice, where Gardella taught at Università Iuav di Venezia from 1949 to 1975 and designed the Casa Cicogna.

The exhibition brings together documents, drawings, models and archival materials relating to one of the masters of twentieth-century Italian architecture, placing them in dialogue with perspectives drawn from the photographic research of Marco Introini and Emanuele Piccardo on Gardella’s work.
