studying fashion in Venice

Università Iuav di Venezia is one of the leading universities for the training of creative professionals and in fashion studies.

The bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field of fashion aim at excellence by training professionals who can chart an innovative path in the definition of a new and internationally open Italian fashion school.

Iuav students and graduating students are recruited by many companies and firms, and their work is often featured in specialist journals and receives mentions and awards.

the fashion track

The fashion track of the master’s degree in fashion and visual arts relates know-how to critical and historical understanding of fashions in contemporary debate.

The study programme intends fashion as a system of objects, products, images and services in which the phases of ideation, design and consumption are intertwined.

Advanced workshops develop experimental student-centred teaching in connection with the most crucial contemporary issues, thus underlining the importance of the design approach. Students can work on individual projects and try their hand at collective ones. Research areas are defined according to specific partnerships with enterprises, institutions, research centres, foundations, and museums.
