The artist’s talent, but also the curator’s organisational skills: this is what the Graduate Degree track in Visual Arts develops, through a continuous dialogue between theory and practice of artistic knowledge.

Theoretical courses are held by professors who are active researchers in their respective fields of expertise, from semiotics to theory of art, and from the philosophy of science to aesthetics.

During laboratories and workshops (also taught in English) students will be directed by internationally renowned curators and artists, and will be followed by qualified assistants. These workshops will be organised according to the most advanced international experiences in the field of "practice-led” visual arts research.

The programme also offers internships in Italian and international art institutions.

All these qualities make this Graduate Degree Programme in Fashion and Visual Arts quite unique in the Italian landscape of Second Level Graduate Degree Programmes

Skills developed by graduates

Graduates will be able to develop a knowledge of the different languages that dominate today’s planning and production of visual artworks, from photography to film, and from performance to 2D and 3D representation. Graduates will also develop the ability to use the language of the visual arts both as a tool of expression and as a tool for non-verbal communication. They will also have the chance to develop familiarity with the actual practice of art-making (if they wish to become visual artists) and exhibition curation (if they wish to undertake a profession as critic and curator).
