On the occasion of a study day dedicated to the Metaverse with international colleagues which will be held on Saturday 30 September 2023 in Aula Tafuri at Palazzo Badoer from 10am to 1pm, there will be the launch of the 2nd Annual METAVERSE Art @ VENICE with the following topic: The Impact of AIGC [Artificial Intelligence Generated Content] on Artistic Creation and Design.

 

Immediately after the seminar, the exhibition of the 2nd Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE opens (in conjunction with the Venice Biennale although this year not in the official framework of the collateral events) - New Beginnings, New Challenges, New Future - at the Venice San Vidal Exhibition Center (SPAZIO SV). This year's theme, “Infinity - the möbius universe", aims to explore the limitless possibilities brought about by the fusion of the metaverse and artificial intelligence technologies. The event is jointly initiated by Victoria Lu, virtual singer Autumn, and artist CryptoZR; the organizing committee is co-built by Angelo Maggi, Fei Jun, Xue Lei, Chen Xu, Zhu Dan, Michael Lim, and Cecilia Zhao; and Angelo Maggi and Fu Sen serve as the chief curators. Rick Juang is the Technical Curategist.

 

The 1st Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE in 2022 innovatively integrated the metaverse with digital art creation, successfully bringing together visionaries, innovators, and enthusiasts from various fields. It received extensive attention from the media, industry professionals, and the public. The 2nd Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE continues with the core concept of Distributed Autonomous Organization (DAO) in the metaverse, emphasizing models based on inclusive collections, crowdfunding, collaborative construction, platform linking, high autonomy, and decentralized curatorial concepts.

 

The exhibition is not entirely virtual but is based on virtual-reality interactive scenarios featuring immersive displays, interactive installations, and advanced AI experiences. It presents dynamically updated content through cloud-based and local virtual-reality interactions and linkages. The exhibition leads the audience into a virtual world where AI-driven digital avatars guide them through inspiring environments, facilitating dynamic interactions, and realizing real-time and ever-changing exhibition concepts. This "infinite universe" will create endless opportunities for artistic imagination, technological advancement, and social connections.

 

Each section in the exhibition hall belongs to different participants, and the curators and artists independently complete the content and form of the artworks. By connecting the limited physical space in the real world with the infinite metaverse online, a variety of display formats and rich and diverse possibilities are explored.

 

A highlight of the 2nd Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE is an enthralling seminar scheduled for September 30 from 16 to 18 (Beijing Time) / 10 to 13 (Venice Time) at the Università Iuav di Venezia (Aula Tafuri, Palazzo Badoer, San Polo 2468, 30125 Venezia, Italy). The seminar will be hosted by Angelo Maggi and Fu Sen and will feature prominent experts in artificial intelligence and pioneers in the metaverse field. Invited guests include Victoria Lu, Fei Jun, Xue Lei, Shens Lu, the representatives from NVIDIA, Allen Lin from Inventec, Tony Lin, Zoojoo, and the New York-based AI artist YOYO Xiao.

 

The 2nd Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE will once again conduct leading explorations and experiments in the metaverse and AI fields, becoming a catalyst for investment. It aims to redefine our understanding of reality and human interaction through the continuous collaboration and innovation of artists, creating an infinitely broad platform for the sustainable development of art empowered by future technology.
