contexts
conference
15 December
2022
Tolentini, Aula Magna
9.30 am
organized by Massimo Rossetti and Agata Tonetti
The conference "We
do care. Architecture and design for the elderly and for people with
disabilities. A confrontation between Dutch and Italian contexts" starts
from the recent Memorandum of Agreement signed between Università
Iuav di Venezia and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the
Netherlands. The purpose of the conference is a confrontation between the
Netherlands and Italian realities on the issues of architectural design, open
spaces and design for the elderly and people with disabilities, one of the most
important topics in the current socio-cultural scenario of the European Union.
The conference, entirely in English, includes two sessions: in the morning,
there will be the speeches of the Dutch guests; in the afternoon, after the
lunch break, the speeches of the Italian guests. At the end of these, there
will be a brief round table among all the speakers and the public.
