Undergraduate and graduate programmes offered by the University iuav of Venice:

Sebastiano Trevisani holds a PhD in Applied earth sciences (University of Padua, Department of Geosciences), and since July 2018 is an associate professor (since 18 November 2020, with the National Scientific Qualification for full professor) in Applied geology at Universitā Iuav di Venezia, where his teaching activity is related to the courses of “Environmental Geology” and “Applied Geology”.

His main research activities are related to the analysis of geoenvironmental systems by means of geocomputational approaches, with a special focus on geosphere-anthroposphere interlinked dynamics (such as hydrogeology, natural hazards, geoengineering issues in urbanized contexts, geomorphometry, and sustainability). His main expertise is in geostatistics and geomorphometry applied to geoenvironmental analysis.

From November 2010 to June 2018, he was a researcher in Applied geology at the Department of architecture construction and conservation (DACC) of Universitā Iuav di Venezia (Venice, Italy). He has also worked for various research institutes, including (from 2007 to 2010) the Research Institute for the Hydrogeological Protection (IRPI) of Padua (Italy),  the National Council of Research and (from 2006 to 2007) the National Institutes of Applied Oceanography and Geophysics of Trieste (Italy).
