Margherita Emma Turvani

Associate professor of political economy and
economic policy in the Università Iuav di Venezia; full professorship, national
habilitation in political economy and economic policy; fellow in Venice International
University. She has an outstanding record of study and research in the field of
sustainable development and economics. Having a strong background in social
sciences, microeconomics and econometrics, she has a record in
multidisciplinary investigation and collaboration in teaching which
academicians and experts in various other fields, such as environmental
science, information technologies, and architects and planner as well. The
complexity and richness of her research experience is also manifested in her
teaching activities through time; she has been visiting scholar in major
excellent universities in the US, like Stanford, MIT, Columbia, and she has a
record of intensive relations with Chinese universities and institutions, where
she cooperates with IESD_UNEP and CAUP Tongji University, Shanghai, and
Tsinghua in Beijing.
She has been chief investigator in several
national and EU funded research grants and she has covered many institutional
duties on behalf of her Italian university (Università Iuav di Venezia).
