Viviana Ferrario, associate professor in Landscape geography at Iuav.

Member of the Academic board of the GESTA PhD programme in Historical, Geographical and Anthropological Studies (University of Padova and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice). Member of the faculty board and council of the School of Specialization in Architectural and Landscape Heritage SSIBAP at Iuav.

Since 2016, she has been the scientific coordinator (together with M. Marzo) of the research cluster “CULTLAND - Cultural landscapes”.

Viviana Ferrario is the Rector’s advisor for the relations with the North-East of Italy (mission three). She represents Iuav in the international network “Rete Montagna – Alpine Network Alpine Network”. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Alpine Adriatic Rectors' Conference. Scientific Advisor of the “La Vigna” International Library. She is a member of the Regional Committee of Ecomuseums of Veneto.

She has extensive experience coordinating national and international research grants, research projects funded by external bodies, and European cooperation projects. At present, she is coordinating the cooperation agreement for the Veneto region landscape planning process.

She is responsible for the operative research unit within the PRIN – Research Projects of National Relevance “MIND – Mountains inside the Mountain” (2022-2025), financed by the Italian Ministry of Research. She is the president of the Comelico Dolomiti Foundation - Cross-border Study Center.
