Vittorio Girotto insegna Psicologia Cognitiva presso la Facoltà di
Disegno e Arti e dell’Università IUAV di Venezia.
In passato ha insegnato nelle Università di Trieste, Milano (San Raffaele) e Siena, ed è stato ricercatore al CNR (Roma) e al CNRS (Aix-en-Provence).
I suoi principali interessi di ricerca riguardano il giudizio probabilistico, il pensiero controfattuale e il ragionamen-to deduttivo. In particolare, i suoi lavori più recenti sono volti ad indagare le capacità di ragionamento probabilistico dei bambini e gli effetti del ruolo nella costruzione di alternative mentali alla realtà.
