The
better way to move in Venice
is by walking, because the
distances
are not too long.
The Iuav University of
Venice is inside the city center of Venice,
close to the train station (approx. 5-minute walk), the City Parking and the
water boot stop (called vaporetto).

International travel info
Venice Municipality: http://www.comune.venezia.it
Venice does have its own airport, although the number of
airlines that fly on it is limited.
Flying direct to Venice Airport, the easiest way to travel to the city is
to take a bus (about half an hour to Vencie city), a boat (about one hour to Venice city), or a taxi
(the same time of a bus). Near Venice there
are two more airports: Treviso airport (about 30
km far) and Verona
Airport (about 100 km
far).
The easiest way to reach Venice
from these airports is by train. From these two cities buses are also
available, but the fastest and easier way is always the train.
If you come by
train, find your train schedule here:
http://www.trenitalia.it
Arriving at Venice train station,
you are arriving in the
city center. In Venice
the fastest way to move is by foot, the second, for long distances, is by
boot (vaporetto).
