Who can apply?

Applicants must be in possession of:

a) a five-year or four-year secondary (high) school diploma;

b) a secondary (high) school diploma awarded by a foreign upper secondary education institution or school. Through Italian diplomatic missions abroad, if needed, they must arrange and provide the translation, legalisation, and declaration of value of their certificate (see this page for specifics);

c) degrees awarded by the Italian Republic, international bachelor's degrees, or diplomas awarded by European schools.

How to apply

EU and non-EU applicants residing in Italy must register on the Iuav Online Desk and pre-enroll within 28 September 2020, 12pm. Applicants must choose “Enrolment” from the drop-down menu of their personal area and fill in the online form.

 

Non-EU applicants residing abroad must register on the Iuav Online Desk and apply by filling in the electronic application form within 31 July 2020, and pay the € 55.00 admission fee through the pagoPA procedure.

They must also pre-enroll on the Universitaly portal.

Admission tests

No admission test is required for candidates residing in Italy.

 

Non-EU applicants residing abroad will have to take an Italian language test (remote modality).

 

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of positions for non-EU applicants residing abroad, they must undergo an interview which will verify their speaking and communication skills, argumentations and motivations.

When and where

If interviews are planned for non-EU students residing abroad, a note will be published on this page within 7 August 2020.

Interviews will be held remotely on 4 September 2020, at 10.30am.

Enrolment of EU and non-EU applicants residing in Italy

After their pre-enrolment, applicants must finalise their enrolment with the following modality:

– print their enrolment form;

– double-check it, sign it and date it;

– upload a scanned copy in their personal area of the Online Desk under “enrolment/manage attachments”;

– pay the first instalment of the enrolment fee through the pagoPA procedure;

– fill in a survey with the modalities that will be communicated.

The enrolment service will verify the documents and send a notification when the enrolment is complete.

Enrolment of non-EU applicants residing abroad

If interviews are held for non-EU applicants residing abroad, the ranking list for admission will be published on this page after 10 September 2020.

Admitted applicants must then pre-enroll from 11 to 18 September 2020, by completing the online procedure on the Iuav Online Desk (they are required to upload photo ID), and by paying the first instalment within the same deadline.

In order to finalize their enrolment they must provide from 21 to 25 September 2020 (according to the modalities that will be communicated):

– dated and signed enrolment form;

– payment receipt for the first instalment of the enrolment fee;

– copy of a valid ID;

– copy of tax code;

– copy of residence permit (or residence permit application receipt);

– documents issued by the diplomatic mission which managed their pre-enrolment: original diploma (or certified copy), with English or Italian translation and declaration of value and legalization (if applicable), application form for pre-registration (Modello A), photo authentication (see this page for extra details on the required documents).

Applicants of the Marco Polo project will also have to submit an Italian language proficiency certificate.
