Marina Pellanda graduated with a degree in literature from
the University of Ca’ Foscari of Venice with a thesis on Andrei Tarkovskij. In
1999 she was awarded with a MURST study grant for young researchers for her
research project entitled Spazio e tempo nel
cinema. She has participated in
specialised course, round tables, and critical writing workshops on the subject
of cinema, as well as in various conferences (including, the International
Conference of Research on Andrej Tarkovskij, held in Venice, 2003).
She has worked in collaboration with the Biennale of
Venice International Film Festival and with the «Circuito Cinema» of the City
of Venice, and also curated the exhibition Cinema
e città tra America e Europa in 2001. She completed a masters degree in
Theatre and Multimedia from the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice in 2003. The
following year she was in charge of the archival research for the book Venezia è una città. Un secolo di interpretazioni del cinema documentario, published by Marsilio. Since
2003 she has taught at and collaborated with the Faculty of Arts and Design of
the University Iuav of Venice.
