«The introduction of the Green Pass for university staff and students, announced by the Italian President of the Council of Ministers, constitutes a strong invitation to get vaccinated and thus return to university in person and safely.

On our side, we fully support this invitation and make it our own: the return to the university as a place of exchange and dialogue between students and teachers is an irreplaceable value and represents the very essence of the university.

The universities of the Veneto Region are ready to reopen classrooms and spaces to full capacity. We are ready to restore the fullness of university life in compliance with all safety regulations that ensure the continuous and broad interaction between teachers and students.

At the same time, we have put in place a series of measures and services for the entire duration of the study programmes, even beyond the health emergency, and dedicated to certain specific categories of students who are unable to attend classes.

In the past year and a half, our four universities have shown that they can cope with and contain the spread of the pandemic with a high percentage of vaccinated teaching and administrative staff, with few isolated cases of infection and no outbreaks.

We are now ready for this fresh start and look forward to welcoming students in September!»
