Gabriele Toneguzzi,
PhD in design and MSc eq. in architecture, work mainly in the fields of
architecture, museum and exhibit, industrial design.
Peer reviewer for some
scientific journals, correspondent from 2006 for the Italian 'Il Giornale
dell’Architettura', paper edition and then collaborator of online edition,
he frequently writes essays and articles about architecture, industrial and
railway design.
He has taught in many
universities, including: University of Rome 'La Sapienza', University of
Florence, University of Ferrara, University of Padua, Iuav University of
Venice, San Marino State University and collaborated also with the Chalmers
Tekniska Högskola (Chalmers Technical University) of Göteborg.
His research interests
are highly varied: thanks to personal curiosity and like a real
jack-of-all-trades, he can juggle a wide range of subjects within the design
field, but with a particular fondness for his core-business: the museum and
exhibit domain; however, he is also interested in history, graphics,
interaction and very unusual areas, such as railway vehicles
Among his most recent
works there are a strategic revitalization plan of cultural heritage for a less
populated areas in the far north east of Italy, the innovative preservation of
a prominent ancient venetian Villa and the provision of the new museum inside,
as well an important historical essay about a unique German Totenburg.
