In the last 10
years, Mauro Simionato has built his career as a Global Creative Director
through a professional growth in constant tension between underground culture,
image production and fashion design.
His career began
after attending the master in Strategic Brand Management at CBS in Copenhagen,
where he took part to the Danish creative scene that would soon explode globally.
In 2008, he
co-founded 247 (Twentyfourseven), a
multi-brand showroom, and launched Volta
Footwear, a brand based on the strength of a single silhouette dubbed
“instant classic”.
From 2012 to 2014
he continued his art direction work with Asics Europe in Amsterdam while
opening Mauro Simionato Studio in Milan, widening his activity to non-fashion
projects.
In 2016 he
founded the brand Vitelli and
developed the first prototypes of experimental knitwear, designing the brand
identity with a total focus on the themes of sustainability and inclusivity.
He also focused
back on fashion as artistic director for brands such as Belstaff (2016-2017);
Golden Goose Deluxe Brand (2017-2018); Barena (2018-2019),
Clark’s/C&J Clark International (2019-2020).
In November 2020
he holds a talk at MF Global Summit on the themes of sustainability.
2021 opens with a
momentum for his brand Vitelli,
which since 2016 had earned a place on the Milan Fashion Week calendar with the
support of the Camera Moda Fashion Trust.
